Name of our spotlighted French Lab member: Thibaut Meurgue-Guyard

A very warm welcome to you!

  • Could you tell us a bit about what brought you to Singapore and/or what you do in Singapore?

Had to follow Singapore calling for personal reasons, after a 3-year experience in Hong Kong (having a persuasive Singaporean girlfriend played a big part in this decision I must say!)

I am the co-founder of Found & Seek, a startup enabling organizations to better manage their tangible assets along the circular economy. Consider us as the Airbnb for Business Equipment! Our platform comes with a sharing platform to optimise equipment utilisation rates and sustainability reports to assess the impact of operations on the planet. We also have a repurpose/resell/lease platform for companies to get rid of their surplus in a responsible way!

I am also a trainer/speaker about IT sustainability to help companies understand the impact of New Tech on the planet (worked with schools, universities and MNCs mostly).

  • In a few words, describe your main scientific/research interests?

I am mostly investigating IT sustainability and e-waste. As a consequence, I am not so much of a researcher but a facilitator for research facilities to embrace sustainability in a practical way! However, I write articles and build a comprehensive database that can be used for multiple purposes.

  • Could you share a few examples of what are or could be the application(s) of your professional activities (whether in the research, innovation or industrial field)?

On the top of my head, I can think of this;

  • Free access to our platform for labs to better manage their business equipment/machinery and have reports
  • Make Sharing possible between different labs/facilities to make the best of this community!
  • Offer a marketplace for surplus equipment
  • Any advice on IT sustainability (e-waste, eco-design, resource calculation…)

  • Are you currently collaborating with French and/or Singaporean institutes?

My startup is incorporated in Singapore and I have discussions with a lot of Singaporean organisations, with the French Tech community as well.

  • How did you first hear or come across the French Lab?

I think I saw a LinkedIn post and got curious! I always loved such collaborative multi-segment incentives!

  • What do you hope to find in joining the French Lab Singapore network?

Would love to collaborate with labs and R&D facilities to help them grow along the circular economy. Sustainability does not have to be expensive because as we always say at Found & Seek, “Do Good, Do Better!”

I would also love to train people about the impact of tech on the planet!

  • What activities would best meet your expectations?

Would love to collaborate with labs and R&D facilities to help them grow along the circular economy. Sustainability does not have to be expensive because as we always say at Found & Seek, “Do Good, Do Better!”
